My memory of events was that there was discussion of setting up a body like
Melbourne IT in about July last year. This died because it was, supposedly,
almost identical to similar previous proposals. Then about October I heard
about MelbourneIT as a fait acompli. I do not remember seeing anything
about commercialising the DNS in between these times.
