Saliya, you left out the 'combinations' ...

choose any combination of ;

.com / .com.au
.net / .net.au
.org / .org.au
.biz / .biz.au
.info / .info.au

To protect your names you only need the combination of two... I service
domain names and help people choose in a lot of cases. I have never said
that the 'buy all mentalitly' is good or the way to go.. on the contray I
think that name protection is a real factor and getting the combintation is
a factor. Currently there is no protection for .au registrants
internationaly in the names that they can currently choose. Thus
introduction of .info and .biz.

Also I never mentioned .name or .pro or any other TLD. They are just not
big enough in my view to warrent following the DOT blindly as you put it...

I'm also presuming that you are referencing ICANN as the DOT... If I'm
wrong let me know..

I'm also gald that you can make assumptions on my vested intrests... Just
to let you know the number of domain names that is registered help us all..
more names, more money for the companies that provide the services, more
services that are avaiable, the more names that are registered. And in the
end it gives the auDA more to do the things that we all want for the .au
domain space...

It's all our vested interest... even yours.

Best Regards,

Michael-Pappas.
