Come October of 1998 there are going to be
several million .COM owners who are going to
be out looking for <SLD>.<TLD> names. This
could bring in several hundred million dollars
to a TLD registry.

I noticed that some of the obvious names do
not yet have .AU registrations:

	att.au
	disney.au
	ibm.au
	mcdonalds.au
	microsoft.au
	<....several million more omitted...>

What does Australia plan to do in October ?

Do you plan to ignore hundreds of millions of dollars
in potential revenue INTO Australia ?

Do you plan to ignore the jobs that will create ?

Also, what about the .AUSTRALIA TLD ? Will the .AU
TLD be so limited that people migrate to other TLDs ?

What is the point of having a TLD if it is not developed ?

If it is not developed then the free market forces will
eventually route around it and it will become irrelevant.
Is that what people want for .AU ?
