Red Tape Set to Snuff Out Online Identity of Wales
Wales, a small Celtic country that has proudly withstood the depredations of
Anglo-Saxons, Normans, and tourists, which has given the world everything from
an enduring mythology to the world?s longest single-world domain name, has been
informed that they will not be allowed to proceed with .CYM (short for the Welsh
name for Wales, Cymru) because that three-letter code is already claimed by the
Cayman Islands.

ARIN grants Comcast IPv4 "mega-allocation" by Brenden Kuerbis
If you listen to the buzz, the day of ipv4 exhaustion is nigh and operators need
to be migrating en masse to ipv6. The problem with the v6 evangelism is that it

ipv6. A recent allocation by ARIN of a /9 block, or approximately 8.4 million
addresses, to U.S.-based network operator Comcast highlights this.

Netcraft November 2010 Web Server Survey
In the November 2010 survey we received responses from 249,461,227 sites. Apache
continues to gain market share, with an increase of 1.29 percentage points since
last month. This is the result of 12.9M new Apache hostnames, mostly in the
United States (8.1M) and the Netherlands (1.6M). As seen in previous months,
other server vendors lost market share as a result, though all of the major
vendors apart from Google actually gained hostnames this month.
