Interesting that you find reporting spam to the ISP the most effective method. 

After having worked for an ISP and having sent out many abuse letters to other 
ISP's my experience says the complete opposite.

This holds doubly true for anyone "large", ie Telstra, TPG, Optus and so on.

Thankyou for the suggestion anyway, i'll send a copy to them anyway. Its 
always worth trying.
