Did they get fined? or just a stern talking to? did they have to pay court 
costs even?

Do the courts condone breaching of the trade practices act?
"don't get caught out being deceptive, for three years"

And why do articles refer to Cheesley as "Chesley Paul Rafferty" why not 
just "Chesley Rafferty?

Domain Names Australia Pty Ltd (DNA) and its director Chesley Paul 
Rafferty 
have been found guilty by the Federal Court of breaching the Trade 
Practices Act, following the company's re-registration mailout scam in 
2003.
