Yeah - and where does it say ANYWHERE that you can register a domain on behalf 
of another entity? If that is the case I shall register all domains for clients in my own 
name and then let 'em twist in the wind if they don't like the prices etc.. (just joking).

How did Melbourne IT let this one go through and what the grounds? What have any 
registrars got to say? What has auDA got to say about such going ons?
