I too recall that auDA has said things like this on a number of occasions.

However, the fact that "auda.org.au" is in the DNS List's address -
dns&#167;lists.auda.org.au - suggests that auDA has given some form of saction or
imprimatur.

I think this as good thing.

What I'd like to know is if the planned outage for this Sunday at
Ausregistry will be the one that enables support for AAAA glue records.
