The nature of the issues means there will always be people with opposing
views and the trick is to identify those who are legitimately passionate
and those who are not. That is not always clear from a single post but
rather a pattern of them.

I would be loathe to fully moderate this list (or another like it) for
two reasons. One is I am often away for days at a time which would
stifle discussion if every post had to be approved. Secondly is I _am_
involved with auDA and any rejections would simply be met with the
argument that I am silencing auDA's detractors.

I think apart from the occassional eruption every few months this list
functions quite well as it is.
