AusRegistry provide a check availability command for registrars for all
names in ".au".

Melbourne IT provides an http post interface to the check availability
command for com.au names for its resellers (note currently this is not
available for other secondary namespaces in ".au"). This is what should be
used rather than WHOIS for check availability for com.au.
There are no limits on this check.

Note that the current check availability returns reserved words (such as
generic words involved in the auction) as available. This is being
rectified by AusRegistry. It is not possible to successfully register a
reserved word.
