Personally I don't think a .au name space name is inferior.  I don't
deal in them as I consider them overpriced as a rule and too burdened
with authoritive interference but that is only a personal preference.  I
see a reasonable amount of interest in them.

I really think some national pride comes into play and ppl would prefer
to register under .au if other issues are equal, including price,
complexity and marketability.
