Well, actually:

.org was originally designed to be restricted to non-profit organisations
but that policy has never been enforced by your company.

Other similar spaces such as .org.uk and .org.nz are also unrestricted though
they also have unenforced policies that theoretically restrict the space
to non-profit organisations.

On the other hand, .org.au is actually one of the few spaces that has been
restricted to non-profit organisations with some curious exceptions.
