"These guys missed the boat on how to make money with a domain registry. The
should have done what Network Solutions did...offer their database of domain
registrants on CD to spammers. Spammers are always looking for new email
addresses to send their viagra online, baldness cures, penis growing wonder
drugs, and mortgage refinance spam to. AOL used to have tons of email lists
that were free for the downloading, now that it is big business to sell the
email addresses of anybody stupid enough to do business with you, these guys
should get in the act.

How else can you make more money off your existing customer base, particularly
in a recession? The difference between a dot com failure and a Wall Street
darling is basically how much management is willing to violate a customer's
privacy rights to generate revenue"
