IRA notice - wrong renewal date

IRA notice - wrong renewal date

An, er, interesting "renewal advice" turned up today, addressed to
"Accounts Payable".

I'd write it off as just yet another of IRA's solicitations, but it claims
"Your licence ... expires on 05/08/2002".

To the best of my knowledge, this is not correct - as the domain in
question was renewed for two years, less than six months ago. Yep,
looking up the renewal confirmation from last year, this domain is not due
till 2003.

So the obvious question is if this is a genuine stuff-up by IRA (i.e. they
aquired dodgy data?) or a sleazy attempt to extricate money from the
unsuspecting...

Anyone else seing examples like this?

Regards,
Neale.
