RE: [DNS] ING charging $250 non-refundable for .BIZ and .INFO

I've come into this at a late stage, and I may be covering ground that's
already been gone over - in which case, my apologies. We've had many of our
clients ring us in concern about ING's unsolicited emails regarding the
.BIZ and .INFO pre-registration.

My concern is how can ING be given access to bulk information for the
purposes of what those of our clients who rang us for clarification, regard
as spam. This also introduces the spectre of the very organisation that
should be the epitome of privacy protection being seen to release personal
information to an organisation (ING), that is then seen to abuse that
information.

At best, such compromises the integrity of the rest of the industry; I
consider it is predatory business practice that gives us all an undeserved
bad name.

Hey,

A new development on the ING issue. If the letters they send out get
returned to sender, they ring up the admin contact for the domain.
