Take a look at the 'generic words' section of the com.au Domain Name
Allocation Policy: http://www.ina.com.au/register/names.html#3.8

'buy' and 'sold' are not words describing a product, service or profession.

'travel' and 'auction' on the other hand are definitely services.

Who knows. Perhaps it will take a court case from someone adversely
affected by INA's inconsistent application of their policies to
sort this out.
