Ny question regarding the proposed com.au name policy is simple: Precisely what are you trying to protect, and from whom? The reson why I ask this basic question regarding com.au is simply on the basis that if it was well understood what the objectives were the implementation mechanisms may become a lot clearer. I would argue that its kind of pointless to "refine" the existing policy unless it was clearly understood what the overall objectives of the policy are in the first place!
